File Transfer
Procedure to transfer files too large for email transmission during our current project.
Kindly notify me when uploading files. Please respect the security of all by not sharing access with others.

This is a temporary file exchange and not designed for remote, online file storage.
If you need the files for future use, please save them to your system immediately.
Files will be deleted / purged on a regular basis, with no warning.

Notes: If you experience any problems, please contact me ASAP — especially if you suspect a breach of security. Access may be suspended at any time, with no warning. Please do not share your log-in information with others.

*While I have made every reasonable precaution to protect the confidentiality of your files,
I cannot be held responsible for their security.

Detailed Process
The visuals below may vary slightly from system to system,
but the process should be essentially the same.
A]
*Access to the file transfer interface is password-protected. Log-in info may be changed periodically to increase the security of client files. If you cannot access the log-in page, please contact me for the current user name and password.

You will be issued a user name and password for access to the Afian interface for document sharing. I have established two types of accounts: a "general" [shared] account for those who need occasional file transfers; and a limited number of "permanent" [private] accounts for those clients requiring large and frequent file transfers. The "general" log-in info will change fairly often.

Important Note: When using the "general" account, others knowing the current log-in info will have full access to your file[s]. Please make explicit arrangements with me to have sensitive or confidential files removed.

File Transfer Panel
The white panel in your new browser window is where you can upload, download, and forward / email files. [See specific instructions in sections D and E below.]
Example above: Two files are available for download ["Test2.pdf" and "Test.pdf"].

This example is in "List / Detail" view [my preference].

Downloading Files
Select or click on the file you want to download.

Choose from the available functions listed on the new drop-down menu.

Some typical operations include:

"Download" — download the selected file to your system / hard drive.

"Send by mail" — email file to another person such as your printer or colleague. [Restrictions on maximum file size may vary by individual system.]

If option is available, you may also "Copy," "Cut," "Rename" or "Delete" the item.

Note: The larger the file, the more time it will take to transfer. Give it time.

Uploading Files
Option A: Files or folders of any size

Suggestion: If you have the ability to compress ["zip" or "stuff"] all your files into folders, it will save on upload time. I have the ability to decompress the folder[s].

[Step A] Click the top "Upload" button.

[Step B] In new pop-open menu, click "Switch to Drag & Drop mode." Confirm the Java security prompt that will appear [if applicable]. The "Upload files" window now looks like image "C" below.

[Step C] Navigate to the file[s] on your system, select the file[s] you wish to upload, and drag it / them to the white box that says "Drag your files here".

[Step D] A progress bar will appear in the white box to let you know when the files have transferred.

Note: The larger the file[s], the more time it will take to transfer. Give it time.

Option B: Files or folders smaller than 8 MB [total]

Suggestion: If you have the ability to compress ["zip" or "stuff"] all your files into folders, it will save on upload time. I have the ability to decompress the folder[s].

[Step 1] Click the top "Upload" button.

[Step 2] In new pop-up menu, click "Choose File" to upload file[s] — navigate to the file on your system. You may upload more than one file at the same time. Click "Add field" if you need to send more than three files.

[Step 3] Click the lower "Upload" button to send the file or files.

Note: The larger the file[s], the more time it will take to transfer. Give it time.

Client quotes …

I have worked with many graphic designers, graphic artists and web designers over the past twenty years. Never have I worked with anyone who is as gifted and skilled as Judy.

What is most amazing is that Judy works 2500 miles from my office, we have never met, and still she provides me with the most amazing results. I would never consider using anyone else. Judy Leslie "Rocks!"
